GARDEN fans from across the Forest are being invited to a big seed swap – an event organised by the Forest Seed Savers Group but open to all.

"Bring your spare seeds, either saved from your own plants or bought but not used, to share with other growers, and take some of theirs home to plant in your garden," urges one of the organisers.

"People with seeds from unusual local varieties of vegetables, fruit or flowers will be especially welcome – seed packets should be labelled with as much detail as possible, and all seeds are free."

The event takes place at the Bailey Inn, Yorkley, on Sunday (February 3, 4.30pm) and admission is free.
