ON returning from a trip to Gibraltar where I visited the famous apes, I began thinking what we could do to attract more people to the Forest of Dean.

We don't have primates, but we do have sheep. So I initially thought about a sheep attraction and thought we could have something based on the television show 'Shaun the sheep'.

A theme park would be excellent for the area and create lots of jobs.

We could have a big dipper ride, but we could call it The Sheep Dip instead!

Sheep could lie about in the theme park like they do around the roads, but this would be a lot safer.

You could sell lamb burgers in the many fast food restaurants dotted about. I cannot think of a sheep themed drink to go with the lamb burger.

You could sell woolley jumpers made locally, using local wool, from local sheep. At various times through the day there could be a one man and his dog demonstration.

'Shaun The Sheep World' could put the Forest of Dean back on the tourist map.
