WELL, what can I say? I am fed up with this Asda and Co-op saga going on every week. This is how I feel and a lot more people I have talked to.

Being a pensioner and trying to live on the things that  these governments give and take off us,well,  I  don't support any supermarket.

They might be selling goods a bit cheaper than the shops, but let us look at it this way.

In the 50s there were small shops in Cinderford and Coleford and Lydney and now look at it – they have all gone.

Only a week ago the green veg shop in Cinderford went after 20 odd years.

Now I say this: I would not carry a banner up through the town supporting Asda or any other supermarket – only when they say grab a trolley, fill up and you  can  take it  away for free.

But for what I take home  I can carry it in  two shopping bags, that's  all I  can afford.

So  I see our MP has jumped on the bandwagon now along with that council chap from over the other side of Coleford.

I just don't know what they are thinking of If um did read the newspaper or look at the television you would see Walmart, who have the biggest share in Asda, have laid off 200 jobs up in Yorkshire.

Then there is our old Co-op lost millions  and gone into a fiasco disaster so is the bubble going to burst? Well come on let's turn thick clock back how it used to be in Cinderford.

They had the pram race start from the Bilson pub up to Seven Stars get a pint down thee neck then up to The Globe and down another pint, then up to The Lion and thee was tipping thick pint over the top of thee to cool down and when you got to The Swan you did not feel you wanted any more.

The Carnival that they did have brought good enjoyment for the family I think that it could be brought back.

Three or four big trailers to put all the clowns on but we would have to make sure the one at the rear  was one of them big tankers that is parked on the trading estate and take it over to thick cider firm at Marcle fill up we cider, park it up at the Triangle and drink it empty.

It might take a few days but it would be putting the spirit back into Cinderford.

Then when they got to collect all the rubbish up, throw it down in thick hole where they are talking about putting thick garden shed for Asda.

Well I got that off me chest – we got to cough this coal dust  off  our lungs.
