TRUSTEES of Lydney Town Hall will be unveiling their new sign at its Christmas fair.
Back in June, the Review reported that letters for the new hall's sign went on sale as part of a plan to update the iconic 125-year-old building.
Within 24 hours they were all snapped up and on Saturday, November 30 they will be unveiled during the hall's Christmas lights switch on.
Trustee Barbara Woods said: "This is just one of several improvements which have been made to this iconic 125-year-old building, all of which have depended on the generous time, money and expertise offered by members of the public.
"The tree has been donated by Bathurst Park Estate and Image, who made the sign, will be helping with the decorations. Trustees suggest you come early because from 2pm onwards there will be Santa's grotto, present ideas, mulled wine and mince pies, festive decorations, music, raffle, children's games and a hog roast."
The lights will be switched on at 5pm. Entrance is free and all the money raised will go towards the maintenance and improvements of the town hall. A mind, body and spirit fair will take place on December 7 and a Christmas Party Night on December 20.
