ALIENS make a beeline for Lydney when it comes to visiting the Forest, according to a UFO spotting website.

The Severnside town is among Gloucestershire hotspots for extraterrestrial visits, with two reports on the UFO stalker website.

The most recent, in April 2014, described how as many as four UFOs were spotted from Lydney docks in the direction of the Severn Bridge just around sunset.

The witness claimed that he and his two companions saw lights darting around in the sky in an “awe-inspiring sight”.

Another UFO spotter reported seeing evidence of alien visitors over Lydney nearly 20 years ago as a 12-year-old boy.

In 1998, he said he saw two circular lights in the sky around 250ft to 300ft from the ground.

“When the object was directly over me it seemed to slow down and I could feel a large amount of static in the air, so much so that all the hairs on my arms and legs were standing on end,” he said.

“As the object moved away in a western direction it seemed to speed up. I tried to follow and had it in my sight for another five minutes when it seemed to accelerate at an immense speed in the blink of an eye.”

UFOs have also been spotted in Ross-on-Wye according to a witness who claimed to have made up to 19 sightings between 2007 and 2009, mainly in October.

The witness described: “A large disc like object that glowed red/orange... with a triangular tail.”
