TWO lads from a Monmouth soccer school run by former Tottenham Hotspur scouts Julian and Jeff Seymour have been signed up by top teams.
Gloucester lad Tim Ford has been signed by Tottenham and Tom Phillips from Ross has a place in the Cardiff City squad – but the Seymour brothers are keen to encourage other local talent.
"Anyone aged from 9-13 years old from across the Forest and Wye Valley who plays in local soccer can come along to one of our professional coaching days," said Julian.
"If they then show talent they will be invited to come to our soccer school, held in Monmouth, to be trained for top club showing. The school is presently being run by Manchester United, and our brief is to provide them with potential players, which as you can appreciate is a tough, almost impossible order to fill."
Tim (16) and Tom (14) have been with them since they were eight, and now their dedicated training has paid off.
Julian urged boys with obvious soccer talents or their parents to contact him if they wanted to come along to the first stage of selection, one of the professional coaching days, where everyone would learn much of value.
