WE had a soggy fayre, but it went really well, said a Bream School spokesman after Friday's event had to be hastily switched from the Rugby Club ground to the school to keep everyone dry.
"The only thing that didn't go well was the barbecue. It just wasn't the sort of day to be standing around in the rain eating sausages," she said.
"The switch made it a chaotic day for a while because lessons were still going on at the time but in the event everything we had arranged went ahead, including most of the games."
The event was organised by the school's Friends organisation to raise more money for playground equipment "to make it a better place to be".
