FOR once I find myself in agreement with Mark Harper on his comments about the proposed solar panel set up near the A48.

Renewable energy is to be desired and solar panels are preferable to unsightly windmills but their location needs choosing carefully.

There are vast areas of roof on the various industrial buildings scattered through the Forest and it should be a legal requirement for them  to be fitted with these panels.

If necessary the cost plus any strengthening needed could be paid for from public funds.  Once this is paid for a portion of the profit from the sale of electricity could be given to the buildings owners.

There could be a reduction in the domestic fuel bills and any balance could be paid to the council.    This way everyone would gain and our beautiful area would remain unspoilt.
