AEE Renewables, who want to install over 50,000 solar panels at Nibley Mill Farm, claim there are no available brownfield sites. Rubbish.

No! The real reason is money and profit.

There are numerous industrial estates, small and large, scattered around the area where panels could be installed on factory roofs.

It may cost a little more to fit the panels and they may have to pay a bit more in rent.

A law should be passed making this compulsory.

The cost of any strengthening necessary could be met from public funds to be repaid before any profit from sale of electricity is shared out.

There are far too many developers who want  to vandalise our countryside without a thought for those who will suffer from their depredations – greenfield housing estates are a prime example.
