PLANS are underway for a return of the spectacular sound and light show which was a highlight of the Chepstow Festival.
A meeting is to be held on Sunday afternoon to discuss resurrecting the son-et-lumiere, the last of which was performed in 2004.
The spectacular multi-media shows were performed, written and produced by local people with professional direction.
The first was held in 1990 at Chepstow Castle and they became gradually more ambitious.
They involved hundreds of local people as actors, designers, costume and set makers and many other jobs. Each performance attracted an audience of hundreds for the shows telling the history of Chepstow Castle, Tintern Abbey and Caldicot Castle.
The last son-et-lumiere was Footprints in the Sands of Time at Caldicot Castle in 2004.
The shows became so famous that they were even the subject of a question on the popular Channel 4 quiz 15 to 1.
Posters have been displayed around Chepstow inviting people to a meeting at the sports bar in the White Lion pub in White Lion Square on Sunday (March 25) at 2pm.
