THE vice chairman of Monmouthshire County Council, Cllr Maureen Powell, has cut the first turf to initiate the building of the brand new Dewstow Primary and Nursery School.

It will replace West End Infants and Green Lane Junior School in Caldicot and will be built on the former Green Lane site. Construction starts next month. 

Contractors Willmott Dixon Construction are scheduled to complete the new building so that it is ready for the new school year in September 2012.
