I am afraid Gethyn Davies does not realise just how bad the leakage from his party has been.

In May 2007 30 Conservatives were elected as councillors. However, within a couple of years six of them had moved to other parties!

By the time the 2011 election results were announced, of the original 30 Conservative councillors, 13 remained on the council. Of the rest, three were in new parties, the remaining 14 had either lost elections or had lost interest in representing the Forest.

Stick with it Gethyn. In a couple of years you could be the Conservative group leader!
