A FASCINATING insight into the stone and quarrying industries of a century ago has been published by a division of Forest of Dean Stone Firms, but enthusiasts had better move fast as only 1,000 copies are to be printed.

'United Stone Firms Ltd' has been recreated from an original book from 1912, which explores the natural stone industry as it was a hundred years ago, and is published to mark the centenary of the Forest based company.

Only 1,000 copies of the book will be available, with 500 soft-back at £35 a copy, and hardback at £50. It will be available from Forest of Dean Stone Firms, Waterstones and online.
