A GROUP of staff, students and friends at a Forest college is zip-wiring their way into the New Year at the National Diving Centre in Chepstow.
The foundation studies department at Gloucestershire College Five Acres are fundraising to cover the costs of taking students with special educational needs on a residential holiday to a working farm.
So far around 30 people are taking part on Sunday, January 31.
Course leader, Sharon Batcock said: “The trip will give the students hands-on experience in a working environment, for some it will be the first time they have stayed away from home. For others it will be an experience of freedom around lives that are consistently about disability.
“We have a councillor from Gloucester taking part and we are hoping for some other minor celebrities to join us. Ideally we would like 50 participants.”
