THERE have been reports this afternoon (Wednesday) of shots outside the Houses of Parliament and people being hit by a vehicle on Westminster Bridge.
Armed police have carried out a search of the parliamentary buildings following the stabbing of a police officer.
A man was shot after ignoring warnings from police.
Scotland Yard has said the attack is being treated as a terrorist incident "until we know otherwise".In a message on social media, Newport East MP Jessica Morden said she and her staff were safe.In a tweet she said: "Just a quick message to confirm my staff and I are safe with colleagues in commons. Very concerned for those who have been attacked though."Monmouth MP David Davies tweeted: "Shots fired while we were voting, don't know what's happening."
