GOALS galore and a heart-stopping penalty shoot-out made this a cup match to remember, especially for Blakeney keeper Jason Taylor. Having let in 10 he made the vital save to put his team into the second round.
"It was a good save as Jason tipped the ball over the bar. He was a bit down at half-time as we were losing 3 - 0 but he came back very well and earned full marks for making the all important spot-kick save that saw us through," said Blakeney's player manager Andy James.
James described the result as a wake-up call for his team.
"Littledean played really well. They play a division lower than us but they were very determined and started strongly. They looked to have the game tied up at half-time but crumbled towards the end," he said.
Blakeney's up-and-down season started with a win and has included a 13 goal thrashing at Sling. "We are settling down and playing better now. The game against Littledean was a bit of a wake-up call especially as we have to play Longhope, who play in the same division as Blakeney, in the next round," said Andy.
Blakeney's goals were scored by Jason James (3), Andy James, Alan Bell and an own goal.
For Soudley Shaun Quinn and Dan Gwilliam score two apiece with others coming from James Haines and Aron Pollock.
