I CAN'T make up my mind if Mr Reeve's letter was serious or just a joke but, just in case he was serious, he should note a few points:
Fox numbers may need to be controlled via humane methods, however, fox hunting is unjustified on any level.
We have had many "centuries-old traditions" that, amongst other things, involved using animals for sport but, in a more informed and enlightened age, recognise them as unacceptable. Thankfully fox hunting is now seen as one of these and has been consigned to the history books.
On the subject of history books, you should, perhaps, refer to them more often. Nazism was an extreme far right form of politics and to compare any of our main political parties to them is both ludicrous and offensive.
