FOLLOWING Cllr Thompson's letter, are there any actions that can be taken to stop demolition at Princess Royal now?
This was a very strange case. There were so many objections sent to the Planning Inspectorate, and locally feelings were strong, so surely there should have been a public Inquiry held locally. Instead a letter came saying the Inquiry would be by written statements.
By ringing round, I found the Forest of Dean planning committee had opposed SWRDA's plan, but officers supported it.
The next news was that the planning committee had given way, and the game was lost!
