The Snurgle is a funny bird,

It only has one wing,

It flies around all upside down,

And picks up bits of string.

It comes to us in winter

From Egypt and Kuwait,

Arriving here the same time each year,

At twenty five to eight.

It likes to perch on shoulders

But this you must resist.

For his strong beak can easy

Tweek your hand off from your wrist.

So if you see a Snurgle give out a warning yell,

The hit him with your handbag,

And run like flipping hell.
