TWO Rivers Housing are once again using their threatening tactics to bill freeholders service charges for grass cutting. They say if you do not pay they will take legal action! This is nonsense as last year when MP Mark Harper asked Two Rivers to take a test case to court Two Rivers refused on the following two points – they could not afford it and they were frightened they would lose.

So threatening you they are hoping you will pay. The original conveyance documents up to 2003 state you may pay from time to time. This is NOT an annual charge.

Also their press release of last week states they must charge freeholders and that they are then able to build more affordable housing and carry out maintenance works. This to me reads that freeholders will be funding this?

All freeholders need to stand together and refuse to pay these bills. What may be cheaper this year will be dearer next year. It would also help if Two Rivers had actually managed to get their maps right!

Mapledean and Hazeldean which are in Denecroft Cinderford, have actually been taken out of the boundary and put with the Keelings which was built a good 10 years after Denecroft! – Amanda Sterry, Cinderford
