THOUSANDS of pounds worth of tools were stolen from a van parked in a hotel car park.

The offenders smashed the window of the van and took a hydraulic breaker and a Stihl disc cutter some time between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Tuesday, February 26, at the Watersmeet Hotel on Gloucester Road, Hartpury.

And police they may have made their getaway in a white 4x4 pick-up.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesperson said: “Both of these items are heavy and it’s believed the offenders would have dragged or carried the tools to a waiting vehicle and left the scene.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who drove past and witnessed something or who may have relevant dashcam footage of the theft.

“It’s believed a white 4x4 pick-up might have been sighted in the area at the time.”
