MITCHELDEAN Endowed Primary School are celebrating their best ever set of SATS results.
All of the Year 6 children reached or exceeded a minimum Level 4 across the board and the school has also seen an increase in the amount of pupils attaining a Level 5. At least four children achieved a Level 6 in maths and one in writing, although the new grammar and punctuation test presented a few problems with almost 80 percent of pupils achieving the higher Level 5.
Headteacher, Julia Dowding said: "These results and special events reflect a hardworking team pulling together to do the best for the children. We will be reviewing our work and striving for even greater success and wider opportunities for the children next year. My thanks for the support of teachers, support staff, governors, parents, and the wider community and of course our super pupils."
