A LORRY driver found himself stuck for hours with his lorry wheels on the wrong side of a hedge after following Sat-Nav directions to Coleford.
The empty 14-wheeler was destined for GlaxoSmith-Kline but the driver found that his route to Coleford was closed because of roadworks at Bigsweir Bridge.
He crossed from Wales to England at Brockweir, exceeding the bridge weight limit. But on trying to reach the B4228, near Hewelsfield, he was routed up Bailey Lane, which got progressively tighter until he was well and truly stuck. Reversing 100 metres he landed on a hedge to make things worse.
Local residents have for some time been pressing Sat-Nav authorities to update their map guidance for the area's narrow lanes.
