LYDNEY Town Hall is £1,100 better off thanks to a group of cabaret performers who were first spotted in Turkey.

Alison Meek, of Aylburton, saw the Talk of the Town Showgirls while on holiday in the Turkish resort of Hisaronu.

She persuaded the Blackpool-based trio to include Lydney on the next UK tour and the boys were booked for the town hall.

Alison said: “It was an evening of glitter, fun and laughter for which these young men are known.”

Lydney Town Hall Trust thanked Alison for the donation from the sell-out show.
