THERE were two accidents on the A48 in three days last week- one of which fatal.
The road between Lydney and Tutshill was closed both ways for four hours on Sunday night after a Chepstow motorcyclist and pillion passenger, from Sedbury, left the road. Both were taken to Southmead Hospital, in Bristol, where the motorcyclist later died at 5.45am on Monday. Avon Coroner has been informed.
Only three days prior a woman was cut from a car following a two car pile-up at Tidenham at 3pm. The driver of the Honda Civic was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening, and two men also suffered non-serious injuries.
