THE boss of Winner garage in Cinderford, Bob Morgan, is hopping mad after wild boar dug up the verges all round his business on Sunday night.

"And I'd like to know who is paying for all the damage these animals do – not just here but all over the Forest," he said.

"This will take three or four of my blokes a couple of days to clear up, but it's just a tiny bit of the total damage done by boar.

"It's all very well for animal lovers to say they should be left alone but there is a considerable cost to making good all the verges, let alone the damage done to farmland and gardens.

"I'd like to know who is footing the bill and I can only think it is all coming back to individual taxpayers and businesses."

Mr Morgan said he was puzzled they had been allowed to stay and breed in the Forest – and it did not seem anyone was interested in how they came to be dumped in the first place.
