DEVAUDEN'S first music festival on Saturday May 22 promises six hours of non-stop music from a bevy of top local bands.

An impressive two stage set-up will showcase a variety of musical styles from rock and acoustic to soul, funk...and Elvis. Much of the music will be original.

Top of the bill are Thyrd Eye, a family trio from the village who recently released their first single.

Hannah Modget and her brothers will be joined by the mighty Zang Tang (Hereford/Bristol), Rusty Shackle (Caldicot), Angharad (Cardiff), The Peppermint Hunting Lodge (Forest of Dean), Incommunicado (Devauden), John Marsden (Chepstow) and Crash and Berney (Chepstow).

"Our aim has been to put on a family-centred music fest showcasing local bands to raise money for the Village Hall and Dogs for the Disabled," said organiser Jeremy Horton.

"I have been amazed by the talent of these local groups and delighted that they have all given their time for free in support of our charities."

Family tickets for the Festival, which starts at 3pm, are £10 with individual entry £5. For more
