AT just 13 years old, Monmouth schoolboy Marcel Lewis has started up his own business and aims to employ other young people by the time he collects his GCSEs.

The ambitious entrepreneur fits making computers in between his studies at Monmouth Montessori.

Proud dad Karl said: "Marcel started his business about nine months ago but, as he is at school all the time, it's only recently he has had any real interest. I think he was tired of seeing these expensive computers at well-known PC retailers, and wanted to make a good, well-priced one for his friend at school. He buys his parts online, shops around a bit, and then makes them from his bedroom.

"He's going to be building me a new one, and two other kids at school want one, so it's early days. He has a little website, that we've both made together, but he wants people to know about it and hopefully get a little business up and running that make him a little extra money.

"His goal is to grow his business enough to employ other young people by the time he finishes school."
