THE criticism of families living on a hill camp near Green Bottom in my opinion is totally unfair.

My wife and myself have walked this area on many occasions and have met with some of these people, and found them most courteous and friendly, their animals are well trained (ponies and dogs), and in fact could be a good example to some other residents in the parish.

This Mr McCoy should inform us how he arrived at his 50 per cent of the residents who are in opposition to this camp, as I believe there are in excess of 700 residents in the village, and this is the first we have heard of this problem. Referring to the vehicular access surely this is a matter for Forest Enterprise. I hear of no complains of visitors' cars parked by the barrier, and how do the residents of Green Bottom protect their household waste? I see plenty of plastic bags left for collection, so why do foxes attract themselves to the accused families only? What will happen when the sheep come back?

The landlord supports these families who pay their rent, let them live their lives in peace, and others keep their noses out of it. – Littledean resident.
