THIS week Review newspapers have joined up with the team at Oaklands Sports Bar in Cinderford to give our readers the chance to win a pair of tickets to see World Darts number one Michael van Gerwen on Sunday, April 7th.
Oaklands is rapidly becoming a prime venue for both music and sports stars and this is just one of the events they hold, with many more planned for the forthcoming months. Check them out at: www.fodmusic.co.uk
Following their successful event last year Oaklands again welcomes the current world number one ranked Dutch professional darts player Michael van Gerwen to Cinderford.
He began playing darts at the age of 13 and had won the World Masters and thrown a televised nine-dart finish within four years, becoming the youngest player to do either. In 2014, at the age of 24, Van Gerwen became the youngest winner of the PDC World Championship.
Dominating darts in recent years, Van Gerwen is the second most successful player in PDC history, behind Phil Taylor. He was crowned World Darts Champion for the third time after his dominant performance against Michael Smith in the final at Alexandra Palace.
Van Gerwen continued his perfect start in 2019 with a 7-2 victory over Rob Cross in Dublin. The Dutch star missed darts to win 7-0 before he took two points as the world number one triumphed over the world number two.
To be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets to see World Darts number one Michael van Gerwen at the Oaklands Sports Bar in Cinderford on Sunday, April 7th, simply answer the following question:
