The Partnership was formed following the announcement that the town has won funding for regeneration under the South West Rural Development Agency's Market and Coastal Towns Initiative scheme.
Its steering members have agreed this 20-year vision for the town: "To ensure that Coleford and its neighbouring parishes and communities remain attractive places to live and work by increasing the prosperity of the area, improving the quality of life, and health of its citizens, while maintaining and enhancing the area's natural heritage."
The volunteers on the Partnership have have already outlined eight area of initial attention including the Community Centre, tourism and events, youth and lifelong learning. They are now developing strategies for each of these areas.
Spokesman Nick Penny said: "The work we are undertaking here is for the benefit of the people of Coleford and its surrounding parishes.
"We have taken a great deal of care to consult with as many people across our community as possible in order to understand the issues affecting our town.
"As we move into phase two, and begin to build strategies for the future, we are still keen to hear your views, and indeed vision, for the next 20 years."
