Every Monday morning from 9am until 11am, there is cafe open at the Village Hall in Yorkley.
The idea is for people to drop in, have a cup of tea or coffee, maybe a cake and a chat. The organisers hope to be able to provide advice through various agencies and local district and parish councillors.
Committee member Don Pugh says: "We thought that the cafe would give an opportunity for local people to get together informally and enjoy each others company before getting on with their day. Another committee member, Sandra Howley came up with the idea and she is the driving force behind the cafe and runs it with the help of other committee members."
The recent Community Plan Survey showed that people think that a sense of community is important and the committee hopes that the cafe will strengthen this feeling.
The invitation is open to all, so why not drop in?
