PUPILS from Redbrook Primary School had a special preview of 115 nativity sets from around the world at Hewelsfield Church last Friday.
Their visit was part of the church's nativity scene exhibition which was open to visitors over the weekend to look at and discuss the different sets.
Church secretary, Julia Stevens said: "All the children were as good as gold. They brought a magnificent stained glass-effect nativity scene which they had made themselves and it took pride of place in front of the altar."
Over the weekend a steady stream of visitors all enjoyed the variety of scenes, from the very small to the quite large. There was also music from the Cantores and refreshments were served up.
"It was a good that so many folk took time out to reflect on what is at the heart of Christmas," Julia added.
