FOREST of Dean Cats Protection has reported that they have had a big influx of black cats and kittens this summer.
There are currently eight black kittens available, shorthaired and fluffy, male and female, all said to be well socialised and at varying stages of development. But they also report that new ones are coming in daily.
Cats Protection have said that they have rehomed 93 domestic cats and 24 working and feral cats this year, but that new cats and kittens keep on coming.
If anyone would like to adopt one of the black cats or kittens, or any other cat featured on the CP website, ring the CP helpline on 01594 841511.
•ONE nursing mother cat has had to be rescued, along with her three kittens, from a potting shed in a garden in Coleford.
They are around six weeks old, and could have been living in the shed for several days.
The cat and her two tabby and one grey kitten, have been adopted by the house residents, and, although initially very nervous, all four cats are said to be settling down.
