IN 1942, there was an entry of 42 students into Loughborough College to train as teachers. Two of these 42 were from the Forest of Dean, myself and Max Underhill, a student of East Dean Grammar School.

We are attending a Loughborough reunion on September 12 and have been trying to trace our old alumni.

Two were killed during the war, 17 have since died, 5 of us in our 86/7s have survived, and 15 we are unable to trace.

Among the 15 was Max. Does anyone have any information that would help, if so please contact me on Dean 842018, thank you.

P.S. If anyone is going to the reunion – it is for all ages – not only 'oldies', do you have a spare seat? If so please contact me.
