THROWN from a car at Cannop?Crossroads, this three or four week old kitten didn't stand much chance but, fortunately for her, this callous act was witnessed. The witness was able to catch her but her three siblings dashed into the undergrowth and he couldn't find them. Sadly, nor could we despite extensive searches in the area. 'Betty' even came to help and shouted valiantly for her brothers and sisters but we could find no sign of them.

She was suffering from dreadful diarrhoea which is now on the mend. She is a sweet kitten and did not deserve to be so cruelly treated.

We cannot allow such appalling acts of cruelty to occur. If you know of unwanted kittens, please persuade their owners to get in touch with us. We will do everything we can to help. And if you are such an owner and feel you must dump them, please dump them where someone responsible will find them and ensure they are cared for properly in future.

If by any chance you know the person who discarded these kittens so heartlessly, please persuade him to get his mother cat neutered so that no more kittens will meet the same fate.

We will even provide a neutering voucher to help with the cost. Just ring us! We won't know who you are!

Other cats in need of new homes can be viewed on our 'Rogues' Gallery' page.

Homes will soon be needed for young working cats. We are aware of a number of kittens from farms and stables that will be active working cats.

If your premises need purging of an infestation of rodents – public places need this for Health and Safety reasons – these are the cats for you! In exchange for two square meals a day and a warm sheltered place to sleep, they will keep your land free of pests. A good environmentally friendly method of keeping vermin at bay.

Please get your current cats neutered as there are many unwanted kittens in our care already. For a voucher to help with the cost, ring 01594 843685 at any reasonable time.
