WHEN it came to the best time of year to have her hair shaved off for charity, Deborah Andrews used her head.

She said: "Now is the best time because I can wear woolly hats so people can't see my shaved head."

Deborah, of St Mary's Crescent, Lydney, is hoping her ordeal will raise about £1,000 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Her partner, Dean Attfield, has multiple sclerosis and was in hospital in Cheltenham when Deborah had her head shaved last week.

She said: "The Multiple Sclerosis Society has given a lot of support and I wanted to give something back."

Self-employed hairdresser Kerry Baldwin wielded the razor for the fund-raiser.
