AS?A customer of the Co-op in Cinderford I feel irritated by the paranoid gentleman who refused to use the one-way system in the car park and then had the ignorance to complain about invasion of privacy.

Why does he think he is a law unto himself and can drive dangerously in the Co-op car park, let alone the rudeness he displayed to this lady?

I hope he has the decency to apologise to her. And shame on the alleged bystanders who supposedly cheered, or is this just a figment of this selfish man's actions?

We love using the Co-op in Cinderford since the lady started working there nearly two years ago. She always welcomes us with a cheery smile and hello and we often see her help pensioners with heavy shopping, and mums with young children and anyone who uses the car park.

She makes sure people with disability badges can park in the reserved places and makes sure people without badges do not abuse these spaces. This goes for parents and toddlers car parking places too. She provides customer care and service rarely displayed in today's society.

I also feel the Co-op manager in Lydney did not do enough to reassure this difficult customer about his paranoid fears.

This lady has transformed the shopping experience in Cinderford by her presence in the car park and will be sorely missed as we hear she is being made redundant. I do hope they realise they have lost an incredible employee. Good luck to Carpark Clare as she is fondly known by us locals. We will all miss her.

And just a final thought... perhaps some local business in Cinderford could employ this lady for her excellent communication skills and integrity whilst dealing with some difficult customers?
