A SUPPORTER and client at Forest Sensory Services (FSS) in Cinderford has raised £2,410 for the charity with a 400ft bungee jump at the National Diving and Activity Centre in Chepstow.
FSS Centre co-ordinator Jackie Frost said: “When Amy Creed jumped from a crane 400 feet above a quarry on the end of a piece of elastic she was literally taking a leap of faith.
“Amy has very limited sight so could not see what was coming. Her efforts have been rewarded with an amazing amount of sponsorship. We have been supporting Amy and others with sight and hearing loss since 2011 and prior to that it was known as the Forge. Thanks go to all those who have supported this work.”
The organisation, which was awarded the title of best UK small local society for the visually impaired in 2013, is about keeping those with sensory loss independent and fulfilling their life potential.
Amy added: “Every year, in support of FSS, I like to push the boundaries, I have a visual impairment which makes people think twice about what I can do. I’m here to prove them wrong.”
