THIS is my story which you might like to put in your newspaper.
A bit of background. I am 48 years old and have been working with horses for the last 30 years. I have worked in several aspects of the horse industry, such as polo yard, livery yards, riding for disabled and stud yards, working with young, newborn to stallions to retired horses. In other words I have done everything to do with horses and was happy working with horses as a career.
Until March 10, 2012, when it all changed. I was leading a young horse when something spooked it and it pulled back. This in turn ripped my arm out of my right shoulder socket.
I was immediately rushed to hospital and signed off work for a month to recover. After two months on sick leave I tried going back to work. I could not cope with the pain in the shoulder, so I went back to the doctor for help and was signed off sick again, and went for MRI scans and treatment.
I am now diagnosed with cervical spondylosis with upper limb radiculopathy. I am still receiving treatment for my shoulder and neck and cannot work with horses anyone; I can't even look after my own horse because of my condition. So now I am trying to find a new career.
However my brother has published my book on Amazon Kindle as an E Book. The title is 'El Teb' and is about the Sudan Rebellion in 1885 and a Rifle captain in the Kings Royal Rifle Corps. I wrote it about 10 years ago so perhaps I could begin my new career as an author.
