I READ with interest the letter regarding the bull terrier attacking other dogs at Linear Park, Cinderford.

I was bitten by a dog at the Linear Park three weeks ago.

May I say not only dog lovers like strolling down the Park. Walkers with our children also love going down there.  I was jogging the day I was bitten and the dog just jumped at me and bit my leg.  I went to the Dilke and had to have a tetanus injection.  I am now very nervous of dogs and stop and stay still when dogs are roaming free there.  I explain this to dog owners and they nearly all say: "He will not hurt you" but still let them jump up at me.

The owner of the dog that bit me also said this.  My point is that not all of us want dogs jumping up at us. Be more considerate please as it may be a child next time.
