I AM not someone who likes writing letters but I take exception to the letter last week from W. Corum: i.e. if one is strapped for cash one will look around for cheap offers. My husband and I could not be described as poor. We have always shopped where you get good value for money. You do not have money if you waste it. (Judging by all her previous letters, I would think she herself is strapped for cash. Has she got shares in the Co-op?)
And, as for the divi, two friends of mine booked a holiday with them last year to the value of £2,000. How much divi did they get? The princely sum of £4. The people of Cinderford deserve a better supermarket.
And as for comments made about Lidl: they are not complaining. They know they will keep their customers. What does that say about the Co-op? When Tesco come to Cinderford I hope they will invite Wendy Corum to open it. I'm sure she'd be honoured to do so! – Mrs S. Taylor, Drybrook.
