BRR...it's upon us again and it's only just December.

I'm actually writing on the subject of grit bins and the general use thereof. The council had filled most of our bins to the brim before the cold snap, but sadly these stocks are now very depleted due, not in a small way, to householders deeming that their driveways should take precedence over public highway and pavement.

Same thing happened last year and lots of people were annoyed, but nothing said.

It's really selfish, especially when such large quantities are applied.

We have an horribly steep and narrow driveway, but we leave our vehicles either on the road or in a kindly neighbours drive and we walk up to the car when needed. In this way we're avoiding waste of grit which is a limited resource.

Let's have a bit more generosity of spirit, and consideration please. After all Christmas is coming!
