THE Dean Heritage Centre at Soudley is hoping local people can help solve a mystery.
The centre was recently given some Penny Orange coins from the village, but staff there would love to know more.
Collections officer Nicola Wynn said: “Stanley H Joiner shows on one side of the coin and Christmas Carol Serve Penny Orange and a date on the other side.
“Were they given during the Christmas Carol Service?
“Were they handed out to children? What are they for?
“If anyone can help explain the coins or would like to tell me their story I would be very grateful.”
