ROY Close's postcard of The Farmers Arms in a recent Review is not local.

I've checked my Gloucestershire Kelly's Directories for 1902, 1914, 1923 and 1931, which more than covers the period of the picture.

During the whole of this period there were only two Farmers Arms pubs in Gloucestershire, one in Guiting Power and one is Gotherington. Remarkably, both are still open today and neither look like this!

So not only is it 'not round 'ere', it's not even in Gloucestershire I'm afraid. Sorry Roy!
