PEOPLE packed in to Woolaston Church last Sunday afternoon for what was acclaimed as a 'fantastic' performance by the Acordia Ensemble.

It was the first concert for the ensemble, made up of leading marimba player, Andrew Whettam, violinist, Anne Lawes and guitarist, Alex del Valle, and many pieces were perfomed in public for the first time.

Acordia was formed after a visit by British artists and musicians to the charity Armonia which works to transform the lives of the poor in Mexico.

The Rev Tony Jones of Woolaston Church delivered a heartfelt thank you to the Ensemble for such a wonderful performance and wished them good luck in the future for their charitable work.
