I WOULD like to factually clarify an inaccuracy that was contained within an letter entitled UKIP criticism- that was published in last week's Forest Review. Your correspondent wrote: "Farage, lest we forget, told his audience at The Annexe in Lydney last year that he supported the Forest sell-off."
Nigel Farage indeed at the public meeting in The Annexe was asked a question pertaining to the issue of the Forest sell-off, however Nigel being unaware of the finite detail of this very emotive subject did not answer the question instead he passed it to me for a response, to which I categorically stated in the reply that UKIP did not in any way support plans to sell off any parts of the Forest of Dean.
For very much the most part UKIP support, the HooF campaign and the important commitment they have to protecting the Forest.
One of UKIP's core pledges is also to protect the rural character/landscape/amenity of the Forest.
On a wider note many people have written recently regarding UKIP, bereft it would appear of the finite detail.
In a recent letter I mentioned ignorance, assumption and narrow-mindedness, I need not mention them again.
