GREAT Western Air Ambulance was scrambled from Bristol to Chepstow on Monday evening (April 10) when a woman fell off her bicycle.

Their helicopter landed in the Dell car park in the town, where police were also present.

A spokesperson for the charity said: “We were called at 6.20pm on Monday to attend a medical emergency. We provided critical care at the scene before the patient was loaded into an ambulance and taken to hospital.”

A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: “Emergency services were called to reports of a 40-year-old lady who had fallen from her pedal cycle on Welsh Street in Chepstow on Monday night.

“The woman was treated at the scene and taken to hospital for further treatment. At this time, her condition is not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.”
