AN air ambulance was called to Caldicot School last week after a pupil was injured in a PE lesson.

The helicopter landed on the school field last Thursday (November 9) to assist the student who is understood to have been unconscious.

A spokesman for Monmouthshire County Council said: “As per our health and safety protocols, as a precaution the school  called the ambulance service as a result of an  injury during a PE lesson on Thursday.”
