AN air ambulance crew landed in Joy's Green on Saturday afternoon to apparently treat a baby.
Eyewitness Warren Jones spotted the air ambulance land opposite his home at the recreation ground, in Lydbrook, and a first response ambulance.
He said: "It landed around 2.30pm. I understand it was attending a request for help for an ill baby in Greenfield Road, which is very close to where the helicopter landed. The incident was also attended by a "first responder", and an ambulance turned up after the helicopter had landed. The helicopter then took off around 3.30pm. It contained one pilot and three critical care attendees.
"No casualty was taken by the helicopter which left before the ambulance so I would assume the baby was being treated by the ambulance staff in-situ.
"On the plus side the air ambulance beat the ground ambulance so it proves how efficient and effective the air crew are in these situations."
